If you know without a doubt that if you died today, you would be saved, then you are ready for The Next Step.
The best thing to do is to go to church. Despite what many think, going to church will not save you. But church is very important. There, you will be around other Christians, will have a great chance to learn, and can join in many activities. You also can get counseling from someone you can trust.
Which church is the right
one? There are a few things to look for.
1. That the church is built
around the Bible, to the word, and doesn't change it or add to it. The
Bible is the Word of God. If the church you are in doesn't agree with any
part of it, LEAVE.
2. That the church preaches
salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. If this isn't the foundation of
it's doctrine, even if you are already saved, you will not be getting much
here.
3. That they teach about
the importance of repentance. Many churches no longer teach about repenting,
afraid that they will "turn off" and lose people. Repenting is part of
initial salvation and is required for continued Christian living and doing
His will. The Bible also says He will not answers the prayers of those
who have not repented.
4. You are comfortable and
feel welcome there. If you feel like you're looked down on, or that you're
being judged, that is not a Godly church. Some people (and entire churches)
lose site of the fact that pride and self righteousness are sins.
So, how do you learn everything you need to know? It sounds like a lot you have to know.
Jam 1:5 But if any man among you is without wisdom, let him make his request to God, who gives freely to all without an unkind word, and it will be given to him.
It is very important to read the word of God every day.
Psa 119:105 Your word is a light for my feet, ever shining on my way.
Rev 1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Another way of hearing the word of God is by listening to Christian radio stations. Some of the preachers on the air are easier to listen to than others, but they all have an important message. Many of these stations and programs have toll free numbers you can use to get assistance, for prayer, and to ask questions.
There are also television shows that you can get a lot from. One of the most popular is the 700 Club, shown several times a day in syndication. Like the radio programs, many of these have toll free numbers you can call for assistance, for prayer, or to ask questions.
This is just the first step. Christian life is a life long journey, not a destination. There is no "goal" to reach and then you can retire.
The next step is making The Change.
