God's Simple Plan of Salvation
by Mike Spinelli

Do you know what will happen to you after you die? Will you go to heaven or hell?

You can know for sure you are going to heaven today, just by following God's simple plan. How simple? It actually takes only a few minutes to understand salvation and make your decision.

But don't put it off. We don't know when we are going to die. People younger than you die everyday, nobody is guaranteed another hour. And Christ is coming again to take His people home. If you wait too long, you will be left behind.

The first thing you need to know, is that everyone has sinned.

Rom 3:23  For all have done wrong and are far from the glory of God

Rom 3:10  As it is said in the holy Writings, There is not one who does righteousness;

It doesn't matter what you might have done, or how much you have done. The Bible doesn't use a grading system, it's all bad.

We all know that whatever we're involved in, there is a penalty for doing something wrong. So, there must be a penalty for sin.

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2Th 1:8,9  in blazing fire. He will take revenge on those who do not know God and on those who refuse to obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Such people will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction by being separated from the Lord's presence and from his glorious power

Rev 20:15  Anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

The penalty of sin is spending eternity in hell. It doesn't matter what you have done, or how long you have sinned. The penalty is the same.

So, what good things do we have to do to get to heaven?

Eph 2:8,9  Because by grace you have salvation through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is given by God:Not by works, so that no man may take glory to himself.

You cannot get to heaven by doing good works, it is only by God's grace.

God made it possible for you to get to heaven by sending his own Son, Jesus, to live a pure life and die to pay for your sins.

1Pe 3:18  Because Christ once went through pain for sins, the upright one taking the place of sinners, so that through him we might come back to God; being put to death in the flesh, but given life in the Spirit

Rom 5:8  But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.

So, if Jesus Christ lived a pure life and died to pay for our sins, how do we get His gift?

Joh 3:16  For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life.

Joh 6:40  This, I say, is my Father's pleasure, that everyone who sees the Son and has faith in him may have eternal life: and I will take him up on the last day.

Act 16:31  And they said, Have faith in the Lord Jesus, and you and your family will have salvation.

We become saved by asking. That's all, just praying and admitting that you are a sinner and asking to be forgiven. Ask Jesus to be your one and only savior. There is a prayer you can use below. Like we said before, it doesn't matter what you have done. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that it matters what you did before you got saved. Nobody is "too bad" to become saved.

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and deserve to go to hell. I know you died to pay the price for my sins. Please come into my life and be my Savior and Lord, and give me the gift of eternal life.

Once you have prayed this prayer, you are ready for the next step.
